Overview
The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a five year schedule of public improvement projects necessary for our regional community’s orderly growth and maintenance, quality of life and safety.
The Kodiak Island Borough utilizes a public participation program, which includes comments from the general public, community boards and commissions, tribes, villages, and cities within the Borough to update the CIP on an annual basis. The CIP is adopted each year after public hearings.
Funding for projects in the Capital Improvement Program comes from various sources that may include Borough monies, state grants, federal grants and general obligation bonds.
